Endpoints

GET /api/v1/trending

The most-covered stories now. Optional: section (see below), limit (1–50), min_sources.

GET /api/v1/stories/{id}

One story, with every outlet covering it in the order they reported it, and a link to each.

GET /api/v1/sections

Every section the board has, with its slug — the list the other endpoints' section filter takes.

GET /api/v1/sources/{handle}

An outlet: where it is based, and ownership once our editors have checked it.

GET /api/v1/me

Your plan and limits.

What’s in a Story

id, url (our story page), title (our own neutral title, once reviewed — otherwise null), section, tags (the people, places and things it is about), sources (outlets covering it), articles, countries, velocity_last_hour (outlets that picked it up in the last hour), score, breaking, first_seen_at, last_seen_at.

We never return publishers’ headlines or article text — only links to them. That keeps you, and us, clear of their copyright.

Use It Well

• Credit “Data by DailyDigest” and link the story url when you show our data.
• Your daily allowance resets every 24 hours. Every response carries X-RateLimit-Remaining.
• Keep your key secret. Revoke it any time in Settings → API Keys.
