When the Wildlife Aid Foundation received a call that there was some wildlife in trouble, they weren’t quite sure what to expect. Simon, one of Wildlife’s Aid’s most experienced members of staff was sent on the mission. It turns out some workman had left a large clay pit uncovered and some young badgers had been on a stroll and fell right in.
As the pit was so deep, the poor baby badgers had no hope of getting out. You can even see their claw marks around the side where they had been desperately bidding for freedom. The badgers had become so frightened, they’d started to dig a hole, hoping it would lead them back to the surface.
Luckily, Simon is a huge wildlife hero. He got into the pit and started about rescuing the badgers in no time. Have a look at the video to see how expertly this rescue was carried out. Before you get worried, no badgers were harmed in the making of this video. Although, thanks to their time in the clay, it looks as though they’ve received a free orange tan for their troubles!
