96 Year-Old Poker Player DESTROYS Arrogant Opponent In World Series

Date:

‘Jumping’ Jack Ury passed away a couple of years ago at the ripe ol’ age of 97. He was a great character in the world of poker and a friend to many. Perhaps his greatest ever moment came just a year before his death when he ‘slow rolled’ a cocksure opponent in the shape of  Stephen Friedlander.

As the hand was being played, it looked as though the old-timer was about to lose. The commentators wrote off Ury. But Jack had an ace up his sleeve. Not literally – that’d be cheating. He just had a killer hand.

It was the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event and no one saw the 96 year-old doing what he did there. This is awesome.

“You’re in trouble!” He tells his cocky opponent, who dismisses his elderly counterpart. But write off old Jumping Jack at your peril! Bless him, what a guy he was. He’s missed out there on the tables.

This is a totally classic moment… The guy gets OWNED! Check it out:
