About Boston Red Sox
Their headquarters are in Boston, the capital city of Massachusetts and seat of Suffolk County. Within MLB, the club is a member of the American League East Division. A wait of 86 years ended when the team took its sixth World Series championship in 2004. Enos Slaughter's "mad dash" in 1946 and the "Impossible Dream" of 1967 are among the World Series moments from the years before that title. Fenway Sports Group owns the team, and it also owns Liverpool and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
