Blackheads. They are a total pain in the butt. You try to squeeze them and you get scarred for life. Or you spend obscene amounts of money on exfoliating skin products and they don’t work. Well, until now that is. You see, there exists a simple, cheap and easy home method for removing the pesky things.
All you need is salt and lemon juice. The combination of the acid in the lemon and the salt creates a gentle antibacterial solution which not only unclogs the pores, but staves off infection and lightens the skin. Here are the details…
1. Mix 1 tbsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of lemon juice and 1 tsp of water together in a bowl.
2. Next, apply the mixture to areas of your face affected by blackheads.
3. Make circular massage strokes around the affected areas for about 2-4 minutes.
4. Give your face a good wash with lukewarm, but not hot, water. Wait a couple of minutes and then wash your face again, but this time with cold water so that your pores close.
This should be repeated no more than 1-2 times a week as the salt and acid are abrasive. Also, you should avoid sunlight when doing this procedure as lemon juice attracts the sun’s rays and could sunburn your face.
