Middletown, New Jersey. The last time you’ll have seen Jon Stewart, he’ll have been saying his goodbyes to his adoring fans on The Daily Show. The hotseat’s since been filled by South African comic Trevor Noah, but what’s Jon been up to since then? Well, not much in entertainment circles, that’s for sure. He’s set up a animal sanctuary for abused farmyard animals!
That’s right, he’s swapped jokes for the farm. With his beloved wife Tracey, the two of them have bought land and are taking in baldy-treated animals like sheep, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys and pigs. “I am truly just a passenger on this journey. I am honored to be the wingman”, he said recently. So it looks as though it’s Tracey running the show and Jon mucking out the stables!
Bufflehead Farm isn’t open to the public, but the couple have hinted that they might well open their doors to people soon and we can’t wait to visit when they do! This is such a lovely thing to do. Have a little look for yourself:
