These Killer Catfish Hunt Birds… And On Land. This Is INSANE!

Albi, Southwestern France. A group of fish have adapted a special technique for feeding. They’re catfish and their prey? Pigeons. But how does a fish eat a bird? Well, by employing a little ingenuity. They lunge at the birds, getting themselves on the riverbank and munch the birds, wrestling them to the ground and killing them.

It’s not unlike the strange way that bottleneck dolphins hunt in South Carolina, by beaching themselves and their prey. They might not be quite the same size, but you can’t scoff at these catfish they’re a serious size. These fish grow up to 1.5 meters long…
