A paranormal detective has caught on camera the exact moment that a spirit dragged a chair across the floor of a haunted house. Terry Johnson – a member of the Gateshead Paranormal Society, based in Tyne and Wear, England – was called by a man who wishes to remain unidentified, after the latter suspected that his house might be haunted. Terry, along with his colleagues, decided to set a camera up in the man’s living room, in order to film any possible paranormal activity.

And last Sunday, after Terry had asked the spirits to reveal themselves, a chair suddenly moved a few feet across the floor.

“We were just gobsmacked when we saw it. We have never had anything like that before and we haven’t stopped talking about it since. It’s the most compelling evidence we have got up to now on an investigation.”

The unnamed home owner told the Newcastle Chronicle that “there were things happening we couldn’t explain, things like a sauce bottle being turned on its side for no reason.” He also said that his dog had suddenly started acting oddly.

Strangely, the homeowner took great comfort from the spirit’s detection. “When I went to bed at first I thought I wouldn’t be able to sleep, but I don’t feel any different now. This has just confirmed what I thought all along, but it seems it’s a friendly ghost.”
