Not that long ago we told you all about a brave young girl called Safyre Terry who lost her family and suffered terrible burns in a house fire. Christmas was coming and she wanted just one thing from people: Christmas cards. That’s all. Just cards… And boy did she get them! And by the sackful too… Including one from her favorite pop star, Katy Perry.
Katy not only sent brave Safyre a card, she also sent her a bumper gift set including a cool little hoodie with ears and and its own backpack attached, a DVD of her new Prismatic world tour, her movie Part Of Me, a kitty cat purse and an iPhone 6 and case that flashes.
Perry joined thousands of people across the globe and a collection of big-hearted celebrities like Beyoncé, Michael Buble, and President Obama. They’ve all come together to wish Safyre a Merry Christmas and all the best for the future.
Katy’s card said:
“Safyre, I heard about your Christmas wish and am so honored that you saved the top of the tree for me!
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. I’ll be thinking of you on Christmas day. Special girl.”
And it made little Safyre’s Christmas!
