Awesome Supercut Shows Movie History’s Worst Ever Special Effects!

We all love movies, right? Whether it’s a night in on the couch with some microwave popcorn or an evening at the cinema with ten dollars’ worth of popcorn and a soda the size of a small child – you can’t beat catching a flick. And some of the big blockbusters you can catch now? The special effects are just INSANE, aren’t they? But do you think there’s a chance they might look a bit lame in a few years’ time? Just think back a few years. We remember thinking, ‘they can’t improve on this!’ every week. And yet Hollywood does improve.

In fact, take a look at some of these old films and their special effects. Some of them are pretty embarrassing now. And, hey – some of them were embarrassing then too! And to prove it, we bring to your attention to an amazing compilation video that supercuts some of the worst movie special effects offenders altogether in one place.

There’s Jaws 3, Mortal Kombat, The Mist, Deep Blue Sea, Birdemic (our personal favorite!), Sharknado, Howard the Duck… The list goes on. Enjoy!
