In this engaging new social experiment from 9GAG.TV, people are asked to rate their success in life on a scale of one to ten. Many of us suffer from self-esteem issues, thinking that we’re not where we’re supposed to be in our lives, that we’re not in the right jobs, that we’ve failed somehow … even that we’re somehow not good enough for our nearest and dearest and that they would be better off without us. The people in the video, when asked to rate their success, conform to these views. They all rate themselves quite low on the scale.
But then, in an interesting twist, their loved ones are asked to rate their success. It’s often the case that we don’t see our worth to others around us, and this is sure proved when the loved ones of the people who rated themselves begin to speak about what these people actually mean to them. It’s pretty heartwarming stuff, as you’ll discover in the following video.
Maybe it’s time we stopped and thought about what we’re really worth a bit more. Sometimes it isn’t all about how successful we are in our jobs and all that other stuff. Oftentimes, success is measured in how much we’re appreciated by those around us. These folks certainly are, and when they find out, their reaction will warm your heart!
