Gresham, Ohio. A bus driver is cruising down his usual route on a day like any other. But as he turned onto Linden Avenue, he noticed something very unusual. And not in a good way. What Bill Clark saw chilled him to the core. It was a tiny little toddler walking across the busy street, seemingly without a care in the world…
Without even thinking, Bill screeched the bus to an instant halt. After the emergency stop, he jumped straight out and raced out onto the road to get the two year-old. He scooped him up and took him back to the safety of the bus, away from the danger of the oncoming traffic.
The young boy had escaped from his house after his dad fell asleep. He was calm but had wandered a fair way and was unable to tell Bill exactly where he lived. So the hero driver called the authorities and while he waited for them to contact the dad, he entertained the little ‘un with a hot chocolate.
