We’re always told never to judge a book by its cover, aren’t we? And it’s a saying with the best intentions. But it’s human nature to make snap judgments about things and people. There’s no real way around it. And, often, our instincts are right. But not always…

Take Panda Ross, for instance. When she stepped out onto the stage for The X Factor in 2012, her unassuming look didn’t exactly scream, ‘pop star!’ at the judges. You can tell just by looking at Britney Spears and Simon Cowell‘s faces. But Panda soon left them totally speechless with her incredible singing talent!

This is a great reminder that the music industry now is often dictated by who’s the prettiest. But are the likes of Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas the most talented? We don’t remember anyone complaining about Nina Simone and John Lennon‘s amazing talent back in the day…
