In a video that’s now been viewed more than four million times and has spread like wildfire to all corners of the Internet, US Marine Jarrod Hash cheekily asked UFC champion Ronda Rousey if she would do him the honor of accompanying him to the Marine Corps Ball on the 11th Decemeber. Here’s Jarrod’s original video, where he asks the girl of his dreams to come with him to the ball that has captured the imagination of millions:

Sadly, it looked like Jarrod’s dreams would be unfulfilled as Rousey had to decline his offer due to work commitments. She was scheduled to fight Holly Holm in January, making it impossible for her to interrupt her intense training schedule, drop everything and go to the ball. It looked like poor old Jarrod would be going it alone.

But then, in an amazing twist of fate, Rousey’s fight was moved to November, meaning she could go to the ball after all! “The fight got moved, so I actually can go,” Rousey said. “I would go, for sure. But, I don’t know how to hit him up and say like, ‘Yeah, I want to go with you.’ I would go for sure. But, how do I call him? Do I set up a time and place like ‘Never Been Kissed’ and show up and have him waiting there until the clock runs out? He’s cute.”

We’re sure it won’t be too difficult for these two to hook up. Not with the full weight of the Internet behind them! Looks like there’s one lucky girl who will definitely be going to the ball!
