Anyone familiar with the idea of chainsaw tree carving will know that just because a tree falls over, that doesn’t mean it’s dead. It doesn’t have to be the end of it. That mighty stump can go on to become something incredible that brings joy to everyone!
What are we talking about? Well, the wonderful work of tree carver Lueb Popoff. With just a chainsaw and some paint, this incredibly talented and artistic man can create beauty just from an old tree stump… We might find chainsaws unwieldy and hard to use, but to Lueb? He swishes one around like it’s a paintbrush and he’s Michelangelo!
The sheer level of skill and hand-to-eye coordination involved in the work is immense and it’s just so heartening to see what’s essentially a ‘dead’ thing transform so miraculously. Watch the video and see if you can guess what it is he’s sculpting. This is fantastic!
