The U.S. National Weather Service have got some very worrying, but very useful driving advice that you NEED to hear. The video you’re about to watch may seem like common sense, but what it advises against is something that tempts almost all drivers… Driving through large puddles in heavy rain.

Did you know that it takes just twelve inches of flowing water to carry off a small motor vehicle? Seriously. For bigger cars it only takes 18 to 24 inches. A puddle just a foot deep can land you in serious trouble… What’s even more worrying is that more than half of the deaths from flooding each year happen in vehicles. How scary is that, huh?
