Proof That Johnny Wasn’t The Bully In ‘The Karate Kid’ – It Was Daniel…

You’ve seen How I Met Your Mother, right? And you know the character of ladies man Barney (Dougie Howser, MD himself – Neil Patrick Harris)? Right. Well, there’s an episode where he gives his entirely alternative perspective on the classic 1980s movie, The Karate Kid. The standard belief is that Daniel (Ralph Macchio) is the good guy and the bad guy is teenage Cobra Kai student Johnny Lawrence (played by William Zabka).

Barney says that that the dark-haired Karate Kid himself is ‘a scrawny loser from New Jersey who barely even knows karate’. And is actually a bully. Sounds ridiculous, right? Well, maybe not. Instead of just illustrating what a crazy dude Barney is, this theory might actually prove that he’s got a special insight into things…
