Real-life caveman Angelo Mastropietro fancied a new house. But instead of just buying a standard place like all of his friends and family, he decided to fulfill his dream of living in a cave… Sound crazy? Well, quite. But he’s not scoffing half-cooked rats in a hole in a mountain, the house of his dreams is inside a 250 million year-old cave in the Wyre Forest in Worcestershire, England.

38 year-old Mastropietro, who namely – ironically – means ‘master of the stone’, paid just $90,000 for the property, but it was the renovation which really cost. All together he spent over $230,000. But with so much of the work being done personally, the craziest part of this story is that Angelo has MS…

“Multiple Sclerosis was triggered by health and lifestyle and that was the catalyst I needed to remind me that I needed to be mindful of my health and be respectful of my lifestyle. I wanted to be in a place where I had a happier and healthier life.”

Here’s a fascinating television spot about Angelo and his quite jaw-dropping project. What an amazing job he’s done!
